The Consumer Code (Legislative Decree No. 206 of 6 September 2005, enacted pursuant to Article 7 of Delegated Law No. 229 of 29 July 2003) extends a ‘conformity guarantee’ (Article 130 of the Consumer Code) to all products sold to the purchaser-consumer, the end user, defined as a natural person acting for purposes unrelated to any entrepreneurial, commercial, craft or professional activity carried out.
The Consumer Code identifies the seller as the sole party responsible for repair. The ‘guarantee of conformity’, which summarizes both the guarantee for defects and the guarantee of good functioning, applies directly and without any need to accept legal conditions.
The seller is accountable to take back the defective product at no charge and to ensure repair or replacement.
To activate the guarantee in the event of defects or faults, simply send an e-mail to ‘insert address’ indicating the defect complained of and attaching a copy of the purchase invoice, and you will be contacted by our customer service department.
